My love affair with food started when I was a little girl, making cookies with my best friend every weekend and making a mess in her mom’s kitchen. I got more serious about food when I was in college. I used to fall asleep to Food Network between classes and working all nighters at my college newspaper. My college roommate and I would take turns making each other dinner and we would spend hours watching food TV for inspiration. Now, as a journalist and a wife, I spend my time planning menus for the week and dreaming about fun dishes to make on the weekends.
